Color Meets are inter-squad meets held at NAHS on Friday evenings, lasting about 1 and ½ hours. This is a great way to get familiar with a meet format or try new events.

Our coaching staff reviews the schedule of possible meets each year and chooses meets that will benefit all levels of our team and at a frequency deemed beneficial to the swimmers. We do not feel that swimmers should attend meets, without a coach, outside of the team scheduled meets. Meets are fun when swimmers are there with their friends and teammates. Attending too many meets affects training goals and can lead to discouragement, as it is nearly impossible to see times get faster at every meet. Attending meets without your coach also puts an extra burden on the hosting team, who must assign an on deck coach from another team due to insurance policies. It also takes away the very important "teaching element" of swim meets. If you have any questions concerning our meet policy, please speak to Coach Kathy
